Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team at a renowned pub in Wye River, VIC. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences to our customers.
About the Role:The successful candidate will possess a strong background in modern Australian cuisine, with a focus on using fresh, local ingredients. You will have excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide your team to deliver outstanding results.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the kitchen team to achieve high standards of quality, presentation, and timeliness
- Developing and implementing new menu items, in consultation with the management team
- Managing kitchen consumables, stock takes, ordering, cost control, and budgeting
- Ensuring compliance with OH&S and Food Safety standards
- Working closely with the management team to achieve business objectives
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Diploma-level qualification in cookery or a related field
- At least 2-3 years of professional experience as a chef, preferably in a similar cuisine and environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and management
- A strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, and cost control practices
- Ability to prioritize tasks, set goals, and achieve results in a fast-paced environment
