We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Culinary Artist to join our esteemed team at the heart of our restaurant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Crafting exquisite dishes by cooking, baking, and grilling meats and vegetables according to traditional recipes.
- Preparing ingredients, including washing, cutting, and peeling vegetables and meats, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Demonstrating expertise in knife handling techniques and cutting methods suitable for various cuisines.
- Seasoning, marinating, roasting, and baking food as per recipes.
- Mixing and stirring sauces for marinating and preparing diverse dishes.
- Collaborating with the head chef in daily food operations and adhering to workplace health and safety regulations.
- Receiving and storing stock in a clean, temperature-controlled environment.
- Cooking food tailored to patrons' dietary requirements, such as allergies, and ensuring compliance with recipe guidelines.
- Inspecting food and products for quality.
- Presenting cooked meals attractively on platters with proper proportions.
- Participating in menu planning and design with chefs.
- Promoting safe work practices and adhering to health and safety regulations by cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen and restaurant.
- Performing additional tasks such as training kitchen staff.
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess:
- A diploma-level qualification in a relevant field.
- Previous experience in a busy restaurant environment.
- A friendly, positive, and approachable attitude.
- Energy and motivation.
- An ability to work under pressure.
This position comes with a competitive salary package of $72,500 - $82,500 per annum, plus superannuation.
