Operations & Maintenance Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations and Maintenance Superintendent to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of complex systems and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Direct work groups and/or units engaged in activities associated with planning, construction, maintenance, operation, repair, renovation, alteration, and demolition of buildings, structures, equipment, machinery, and other facilities.
  • Budgeting and Scheduling: Establish schedules and budgetary controls, allocate expenditures, and oversee the coordination of major construction activities requiring integration with engineering, architectural, contracts, and government agencies.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with contract specifications, insurance requirements, and local building codes; review and approve architectural/engineering drawings.
  • Talent Development and Relationship Building: Participate in departmental strategic planning, develop and maintain relationships with other engineering organizations, and lead cross-functional teams.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Laboratory leadership experience;
  • Engineering or architecture degree;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and project management abilities;
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations;
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
