Senior Orthoptic Research Assistant

Join a renowned research institute and contribute to groundbreaking clinical trials as a Clinical Research Orthoptist.
This is a dynamic opportunity to provide technical support in a fast-paced clinical and laboratory environment at the Sydney Eye Hospital. You will work closely with a dedicated team of researchers and clinicians to deliver high-quality results and advance our understanding of eye health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement pharmaceutical company-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials, adhering to set protocols and guidelines.
- Perform retinal imaging and work in either an unmasked or masked capacity, as required.
- Collaborate with research group members and clinical investigators to ensure research outcomes are met and protocols are followed.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in orthoptics.
- Experience in applanation tonometry, retinal OCT imaging & (stereo) retinal photography.
- Proven ability to use Windows environment and Microsoft Office applications, particularly spreadsheets.
- Experience in clinical trials setting, including HREC requirements and ICH-GCP.
