Clinical Research Specialist

This is a full-time fixed-term role as a Clinical Research Orthoptist at the hospital.
- Provide technical support in a clinical environment
- Work with sponsored and investigator initiated clinical trials
- Perform retinal imaging
The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing protocols and checklists for research patient visits.
A significant administrative load is involved in this position.
About You- Tertiary qualifications in orthoptics
- Experience in applanation tonometry, retinal OCT imaging & (stereo) retinal photography including FFA
- Demonstrated competence using a Windows environment, Microsoft Office applications particularly spreadsheets
- Experience in the clinical trials setting, including HREC requirements, ICH-GCP, study coordination, certification in BCVA testing & retinal imaging
- Current registration with the Australian Orthoptic Board
- Current Working with Children Check Clearance
The successful incumbent will have excellent communication skills to interact effectively with a broad range of people. Good organisation skills are essential to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
