The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Manager to join our Private Business Family Advisory Division, specialising in working with high net worth families and groups with complex international tax requirements.

The Manager will be responsible for managing an allocated portion of the client base, providing general support to the Partner/Client Director, and reporting to the Partner/Client Director for several client assignments. This role also includes managing the team and their tasks.

The Private Business Family Advisory team conducts taxation and accounting needs of clients, provides unique advisory services, and has a niche market reputation, providing unrivalled opportunities and strong interaction with all other business units within the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide timely and accurate information on critical issues.
  2. Assist in strengthening existing client relationships and developing new business opportunities through working on tenders and presenting and networking at external functions.
  3. Monitor works in progress to ensure it is maintained at an acceptable level and achieves the expected results.
  4. Undertake planning, lead, and deliver on engagements.
  5. Ability to allocate budgeted time for assignments and ensure work is completed within this budget.
  6. Manage compliance and IQA.
  7. Ensure all clients have been serviced adequately and suggest ways to improve.
  8. Collaborate with the client to identify critical project outcome, work products, barriers to success, and changes in scope or expectations.
  9. Delegate routine tasks and provide constructive feedback.
  10. Ability to supervise, develop, and train teams while providing technical advice and insight.
  11. Provides encouragement and support to teams to resolve issues as they arise.
  12. Leads team with confidence and provides motivation to perform well.
  13. Reviews productivity levels and can identify additional or surplus staff needs regarding scheduling requirements.
  14. Collection and review of team time sheets.
Requirements
  • Ability to develop strong connections with clients through discussions and email – ability to find the solution that meets that client's need.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication – with a proven ability to adapt style for the client circumstance/profile.
  • Ability to assess what is urgent, important, or a need with each client situation.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different situations.
  • Works cooperatively and shares knowledge.
  • Possesses a relevant degree.
  • CA or Tax Qualification.
  • 1-3 years assistant manager experience.
  • Willingness to improve expertise through professional development opportunities.
