Job Description

This role is responsible for providing high-quality care to wildlife patients. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Rescue, rehabilitate, and release wildlife animals in accordance with established protocols
  • Participate in daily animal care activities including feeding, cleaning, and administering medication
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment
  • Collaborate with other rehabilitation organizations to stay updated on current practices and standards
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum 2 years of post-secondary studies in Biological Sciences or a related field
  • At least 2 years of wildlife rehabilitation or husbandry experience
  • Basic rehabilitation skills certification from a provincial or international body
  • Knowledge of IWRC/NWRA standards and familiarity with provincial and federal wildlife regulations and permits
