
Wildlife Care Specialist

This role is responsible for providing high-quality care to wildlife patients. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Rescue, rehabilitate, and release wildlife animals in accordance with established protocols
- Participate in daily animal care activities including feeding, cleaning, and administering medication
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment
- Collaborate with other rehabilitation organizations to stay updated on current practices and standards
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum 2 years of post-secondary studies in Biological Sciences or a related field
- At least 2 years of wildlife rehabilitation or husbandry experience
- Basic rehabilitation skills certification from a provincial or international body
- Knowledge of IWRC/NWRA standards and familiarity with provincial and federal wildlife regulations and permits
