Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Macquarie Full time

At Macquarie, our advantage lies in combining diverse expertise to drive meaningful outcomes. As a global financial services group operating in 34 markets and with 55 years of continuous profitability, we empower our professionals to shape various possibilities.

The Risk Reporting Analytics Platform team within the Capital Data Management division focuses on developing advanced data management capabilities that recognize the strategic value of data.

This role as a Data Platform Analyst plays a vital part in ensuring the complete, accurate, and timely availability of capital data. Key responsibilities include managing ongoing change release cycles to implement platform fixes and enhancements, producing analysis for internal stakeholders on capital returns, and driving process improvement and innovation through hands-on design, development, and testing of advanced analytics within the capital space.

To succeed in this position, you will require proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Alteryx, with a strong ability to utilize SQL for complex and optimal data queries and analysis tasks. Experience working with VBA macros is also crucial for modernizing legacy processes. Familiarity with data lake technologies, such as AWS S3 and Starburst Presto, will be viewed as an asset. A background in financial reporting data, whether as a business or system analyst, data or reporting specialist, is essential.

Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to effectively gather and document requirements, translating business needs into technical specifications, addressing production issues, including system feed problems, and delivering data enhancements.

In our Financial Management Group, you will contribute to driving real change for our businesses. You will be part of a team that builds relationships with regulators, partners, communities, and shareholders, upholding Macquarie's brand.

We offer hybrid and flexible working arrangements, one wellbeing leave day per year, up to five additional days leave based on length of service, paid parental leave, and benefits to support you during your transition to life as a working parent. Additionally, we provide paid volunteer leave and donation matching, a range of benefits to support your physical, psychological, and financial wellbeing, and access to learning and development opportunities.

Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion drives us to create a welcoming environment where people from all backgrounds can thrive. We encourage individuals from diverse identities to apply, and if you need adjustments to your working arrangements or the recruitment process, please let us know when applying.

A salary in the range of AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum reflects the level of responsibility and expertise required for this role.
