Job Description

The City of Adelaide is seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Support Officer to assist in the delivery of the Adaptive Reuse City Housing Initiative (ARCHI) program.

The successful applicant will work closely with the project manager to provide essential support to the project team.

  • Assistance with administering the ARCHI Incentives Scheme, including processing applications via SmartyGrants.
  • Project coordination with corresponding City of Adelaide grants, including incentives for sustainability, heritage incentives scheme, and noise management incentives scheme.
  • Undertaking reviews of reports, studies, papers relating to residential adaptive reuse.
  • Building data collection and analysis using ESRI and ArcGIS.
  • Analysis of approved, proposed, and constructed adaptive reuse projects.
  • Supporting ARCHI marketing and engagement with industry.
  • Supporting research partnerships with universities.
  • Contributing to Council's Research and Insights network.
  • Supporting ARCHI program monitoring and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative assistance in managing the ARCHI Incentives Scheme.
  • Project coordination and liaison with relevant stakeholders.
  • Review and analysis of related reports, studies, and papers.
  • Data collection, analysis, and interpretation using GIS software.
  • Research and analysis of adaptive reuse projects.
  • Marketing and engagement support for ARCHI.
  • University research partnerships.
  • Research and insights network contributions.
  • Program monitoring and evaluation support.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of adaptive re-use principles.
  • Understanding of the Planning and Design Code and Development Approvals process.
  • Experience in data analysis and working with GIS.
  • A proven background in autonomous working and meeting deadlines.
  • High-level attention to detail and ability to produce reliable data.
  • Ability to make informed decisions based on data and escalate within the team as required.
  • Experience in MS Office suite of products.
