Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecoms Team Lead Rigger to join our team at HRG. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of external telecommunications equipment.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and technical skills. As a Telecoms Team Lead Rigger, you will be responsible for overseeing site operations, leading a team of technicians, and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of external telecommunications equipment.
  • Site Operations: Oversee site operations, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard and that all safety protocols are followed.
  • Technical Skills: Possess strong technical skills, including experience with VHA/TPG specifications, standards, and HSE guidelines.
  • Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interpret technical design documents and install equipment as per design.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, working with Telstra, VHA/TPG, and Optus (4G/5G) equipment.
  • Maintenance: Perform maintenance, upgrades, and strengthening of structures, including pole and tower structures, mounting steelwork, RRU's, Antennas/Feeders/hybrids on towers/rooftops, terminating/re-termination of cables, and installation of earthing and labelling following client's specification.
  • Testing: Perform testing using PIM Tester, Spectrum Analyzer, Sitemaster, Fibrescope, and light source on Fibre cables.
  • Assistance: Assist Technicians in installation, fault-finding, and rectification of equipment.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum years' experience in the Telecommunication industry.
  • WHS: Sound understanding of WHS requirements and responsibilities.
  • Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • MS Applications: Skilled with MS applications including Excel and Word.
  • Permits: Must be permitted to work in Australia.
  • Construction White Card: Construction White Card.
  • Australian Driver's License: Australian driver's license.
  • Telstra, Optus, and VHA/TPG Safety Inductions: Telstra, Optus, and VHA/TPG safety inductions.
  • RADHAZ Awareness: RADHAZ Awareness.
