At Vanguard, we are passionate about providing our clients with the best possible investment solutions. As a Senior Digital Technology Solutions Lead, you will play a critical role in shaping our digital technology ecosystem to help advisers scale and service their clients directly with Vanguard.

The Adviser Experience team is responsible for building and enhancing a digital technology platform that equips advisers with a simple way to run their business directly with Vanguard and provide a low-cost access point for our products. As part of this team, you will partner with stakeholders to lead design and development of new digital technology solutions interacted through web and API.

This role requires strong leadership and technical skills, including experience with AWS, Angular, Node.js, and Java. You will be responsible for mentoring the team on best practices, providing leadership and guidance to help shape and continuously improve our development processes, and effectively communicating technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Job Description
  • Partner with architects and senior technical leads to design and implement high-performant, scalable, and secure web applications
  • Evaluate appropriate existing and emerging technologies to introduce to Vanguard
  • Mentor the team on best practices
  • Provide leadership and guidance to help shape and continuously improve our development processes
  • Effectively communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
  • Solid experience with AWS
  • Experience with developing design systems and component libraries (HTML/CSS, Styled components, Stencil.js, Storybook)
  • Experience with state management using Redux or NgRx
  • Experience with back-end integration using Nest.js and/or Express
  • Experience with back-end development in Java, Spring Boot, and designing REST APIs and micro-services
