Job Title:

A skilled Roto-Moulding Specialist is required to join our team in Melbourne, AU.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to operate rotational moulding machines, working with polyethylene plastic products. The training program will be provided on day shift, and once the trainee is ready, they will work safely with minimal supervision on afternoon shift.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality polyethylene parts via the rotational moulding process, preparing each mould for cooking/production, cleaning moulds, replenishing mould features as needed, filling moulds with correct weights of plastic resin, and ensuring quality control of finished parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate rotational moulding machines efficiently
  • Prepare each mould for cooking/production
  • Clean moulds regularly
  • Replenish mould features as needed
  • Filling moulds with correct weights of plastic resin
  • Close mould and check readiness before cooking
  • De-mould finished parts
  • Remove feature restrictors as needed
  • Open mould
  • Demould part
  • Follow post-removal cooling procedure if required
  • General duties
  • Periodic mould cleaning
  • Report mould or machine defects to the engineering department
  • Manage part cooking/cooling times and follow correct mould procedures to avoid part distortion and minimize rejected parts
  • Quality check finished parts as needed

Requirements:

  • Strong English comprehension skills
  • Ability to work safely with minimal supervision
  • Basic protective gear (hi-vis work clothes, steel-capped work boots, ear plugs, gloves, masks)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions:

  • Afternoon shift (Mon-Thu: 2pm to 10:30pm, Fri: 12pm to 6pm)
  • Day shift hours for training (Mon-Thu: 6am to 2:30pm, Fri: 6am to 12pm)
