Rotational Moulding Machine Operator Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to operate rotational moulding machines in Melbourne.

The successful applicant will undergo comprehensive training to ensure they are trained safely and competently.

Key responsibilities include operating a Ferry 280 5-arm carousel machine, producing polyethylene parts via the rotational moulding process. This involves preparing each mould for cooking/production, cleaning moulds, replenishing mould features as needed, filling moulds with plastic resin, closing moulds, and checking readiness before cooking.

Other duties include de-moulding finished parts, removing feature restrictors as needed, opening moulds, demoulding parts, following post-removal cooling procedure if required, general duties, periodic mould cleaning, reporting mould or machine defects, managing part cooking/cooling times, quality checking finished parts, using power tools and hand tools, removing/installing moulds on machine arms, balancing moulds on machine arms, and completing production paperwork.

Our organisation offers a reasonable workload, minimal supervision, and a safe working environment. Polyethylene and the rotational moulding production process are completely safe, and basic protective gear is required.
