Job Title: Therapeutic Caseworker

About This Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to work holistically with families referred from the Department of Communities and Justice, addressing areas of concern and providing families with the tools they need to achieve their goals and reduce the risk of harm.

The successful candidate will be part of a reputable Not for Profit organisation in the Liverpool area, working collaboratively across the agency and with external colleagues to support the family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address areas of concern and provide families with the necessary tools
  • Work collaboratively with the team to identify and respond to risk
  • Provide resources to help families achieve their goals and reduce the risk of harm
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Social Work, Psychology, or another relevant discipline
  • At least 2 years of experience working with vulnerable young people and their families
  • Ability to identify and respond to risk
  • Strong understanding of Trauma-Informed Practice
  • Experience and knowledge of theoretical approaches when working with children and families, including strengths-based approach and attachment theory
  • Working With Children Check
  • Willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check
  • Full Australian drivers license
  • Compliance with current health order requirements as it relates to COVID-19
