Program Management Specialist

The Department of Communities and Justice seeks a highly skilled Program Management Specialist to lead a team in delivering critical services contracts, including lift maintenance, security and CCTV monitoring, and fire alarm monitoring.

As a key member of the Critical Services team, you will be responsible for managing all maintenance programs, operational matters, and quality of work delivery. You will also focus on forward planning, designing, developing, and reporting on strategic programs to ensure consistent high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing staff, compliance, and performance measurement. You will also possess strong planning skills, timetabling experience, and project management expertise. A tertiary or diploma-level qualification in a relevant discipline, such as building/maintenance services engineering, mechatronics, electrical/electronics, or mechanical, is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage contracting and tendering processes, including budget estimation and performance reporting
  • Engage stakeholders to identify emerging issues and develop programs aligned with service delivery needs
  • Utilize expert understanding of internal policies and regulations to ensure compliance, good practice, and fairness in contracting and service procurement
  • Manage performance and reporting activities to monitor program deliverables and provide proactive advice and reports to senior management
  • Cultivate key internal and external stakeholder relationships to facilitate effective communication and interface between program development, service design, and implementation
