Cloud Incident Response Engineer, AU

This is a pivotal opportunity to join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Support Engineer in our AWS Incident Response team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for reducing the duration, frequency, and impact of issues within the AWS and Amazon infrastructure.
Our team works closely with software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles to provide seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing manual incident management for AWS and other Amazon groups.
Key Responsibilities- Drive the resolution of large-scale customer impacting issues as part of a team rotation, including some weekends and holidays
- Identify and troubleshoot recurring platform issues and own projects to drive improvements
- Participate in Agile sprints to evolve business processes and technologies
- Create and review documentation; design new standard operating procedures
You will mentor others, helping them grow their incident management skills. Your work will make an impact across all of AWS with executive level visibility.

RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
- Experience scripting in modern program languages
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
Prior knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development is also highly desirable.
