Uniting is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our Brighter Futures program in Coffs Harbour. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with vulnerable families to provide personalized support and guidance, empowering them to create a safer and more stable environment for their children.
As a Family Support Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing family strengths and needs, developing and implementing tailored support plans, and providing ongoing guidance and coaching to help families achieve their goals. You will also work closely with other professionals, such as social workers and community services, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting families.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of families and children. You will have a strong commitment to child safety and well-being, and be able to work effectively with families from diverse backgrounds. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Assess family strengths and needs, and develop and implement tailored support plans
- Provide ongoing guidance and coaching to help families achieve their goals
- Work closely with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting families
- Conduct home visits and other assessments as required
