Job Overview

As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the technical and administrative aspects of construction project delivery. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills and be able to work effectively within a team environment.

Working under the guidance of the Project Manager, you will be responsible for aligning engineering deliverables with design intent, program timelines, and project objectives. This includes managing daily engineering functions on site, supporting technical coordination, and providing input into planning and procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple work fronts and interface with consultants, site teams, and suppliers.
  • Oversee project documentation, assist with subcontractor engagement, and drive construction quality through inspections and reporting.
  • Work closely with engineers, other consultants, and subcontractors to resolve design issues, manage technical queries, and ensure construction activities are delivered as specified.
  • Contribute to mentoring junior team members and provide opportunities for growth and development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial construction engineering working on high-value projects.
  • Solid understanding of construction drawings, sequencing, buildability, and quality assurance processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
