At Rider Levett Bucknall, we are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Services Estimator to join our client-focused consulting team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in estimating roles and demonstrate a proactive approach to the job.

The Mechanical Services Estimator will be responsible for carrying out and delivering pre and post contract estimating duties. Key responsibilities include project estimates for various phases of a project, cost control, value management, and benchmarking analysis associated with mechanical services.

Requirements for the role include:

  • Proven experience in mechanical services estimating for construction projects
  • Knowledge of standards and codes for mechanical services
  • Ability to upskill and learn about costing of other building installations, including hydraulics
  • Strong estimating, technical skills, and practical knowledge
  • Established relationships with designers, contractors, and suppliers
  • In-depth understanding of design principles and solutions in buildings, including practical site knowledge
  • Ability to complete estimates based on incomplete design documentation
  • Strong communication skills and ability to establish strong working relationships
  • Significant working experience in Australia and eligibility to work in the country
