Job Opportunity:

Freighter Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trailer Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks allocated by the workshop controller and service advisors
  • Ensure completed tasks are quality checked and associated paperwork is completed
  • Record all materials used on tasks
  • Assist others when requested and encourage teamwork
  • Perform mechanical and general appearance reconditioning of trailer equipment
  • Maintain compliance with company and/or industry standards within health and safety
  • Actively participate in breakdown roster to handle emergency repair calls

Requirements:

  • Trade Qualification as Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Trailer Mechanic
  • Proven experience as a trailer technician
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Knowledge of heavy trailer brake and air systems
  • Expertise in best practice maintenance
  • Commitment to quality and timelines
