About this Opportunity
The Aboriginal Liaison Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting the access to healthcare of Aboriginal people residing in the Mutitjulu community. This position is based at the Mutitjulu Clinic and involves undertaking outreach work with the local community.
This outreach work facilitates the delivery of culturally safe healthcare services, which are tailored to meet the unique needs of Aboriginal individuals. By engaging with clients and clinical staff, the ALO helps to develop effective relationships that promote trust and understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outreach activities to enhance Aboriginal people's access to healthcare services.
- Culturally facilitate interactions between clients and clinical staff to ensure cultural safety.
- Promote health services within the local community by fostering strong connections.
- Maintain collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders.
Work Environment

Requirements
- Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and have experience working in a similar capacity.
