Midwifery Career Development Program

We are seeking a registered nurse to participate in our graduate diploma in midwifery program at Northern Beaches Hospital.

This program offers a supportive and caring environment to learn, develop and consolidate clinical skills in midwifery.

Program Features:

  • Opportunity for permanent employment on completion of the program
Selection Criteria:
  • Current Nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Registered Nurse with minimum 1 year full-time experience in an acute care setting
  • Concurrent Enrolment in a Diploma of Midwifery University program at UTS or WSU
  • Ability to undertake Part-Time employment of FTE 0.84, 8 and 12 hour shifts on a 7-day rotating roster
  • Understanding the role of a midwife within a primary healthcare framework
  • Demonstrated ability in clinical problem solving
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of, and ability to work within a team
