V Care, a leading NDIS service provider, is seeking compassionate and reliable support workers to join our growing team in Newcastle and surrounding areas.

In this role, you will provide person-centred care and daily living support to NDIS participants across morning, afternoon, and night shifts. Our dedicated team of highly qualified health care professionals are committed to helping participants grow in independence and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional personal care with empathy and respect, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.

Support participants with mobility, transfers, and safe movement, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times.

Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and general domestic duties, maintaining a clean and safe environment for participants.

Provide transport and support for community access, appointments, and social activities, promoting independence and social interaction.

Build positive, trusting relationships with participants and their families, providing emotional support and guidance when needed.

Accurately document progress, concerns, and changes in care needs, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication with the multidisciplinary team.

Support participants in building daily living skills and confidence, empowering them to take control of their lives and make informed decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Certificate III (or working towards) in Aged Care, Disability or Individual Support

NDIS Worker Screening Check

Current driver's license and a reliable vehicle

Flexibility to work morning, afternoon, or night shifts

Strong communication skills and a caring, patient nature
