Electrical Project Manager

This exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Project Manager with extensive experience in electrical installations to lead and manage the delivery of a major project in Deeside.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven track record of managing large-scale projects, preferably within the electrical sector;
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate a team;
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical installations, including M&E drawings and risk assessments;
  • Experience with NICEIC certification and electrical completion paperwork;
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams;
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK regulations, including the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their expertise through relevant certifications, such as the 17th Edition qualification, CSCS/ECS card, and SSSTS/SMSTS.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the installation of heavy machinery and equipment;
  • Conduct site visits for job scoping, material ordering, and reviewing M&E drawings;
  • Write risk assessments and method statements (RAMS);
  • Issue permits and oversee electricians/subcontractors;
  • Ensure compliance with UK regulations and conduct safety audits;
  • Manage NICEIC certification and electrical completion paperwork.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the electrical sector;
  • Strong understanding of permit systems and UK regulations;
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams;
  • Relevant certifications, such as the 17th Edition qualification, CSCS/ECS card, and SSSTS/SMSTS;
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
