About the Role

selectability is seeking an experienced Compliance Lead to join our Compliance Team. As a Compliance Lead, you will play a key role in providing high-quality service and support to our team of Quality and Compliance Officers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide subject matter expertise and insights on day-to-day risk management activities and compliance and control framework design, supporting implementation of deliverables and contributing to the organisation meeting NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission, National Standards for Mental Health and Human Services Quality Framework
  • Act as a primary contact between organisation and external accreditation auditors
  • Support business units in their understanding, identification, and management of operational risks and compliance matters
  • Conduct desktop and onsite assessments and checks of NDIS/program funded systems and processes, preparing reports, advice, and correspondence as required, including advising on essential regulatory action when non-compliance is identified
  • Monitor and analyse the implementation and delivery of continuous improvement opportunities and policy initiatives
  • Lead the appropriate design, documentation, and implementation of NDIS and program funded policies, procedures, templates, and tools
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports supporting evidence of compliance matters, which include operational registers
  • Ensure operational and practice initiatives meet the strategic directions for managing and delivering high-quality services

You will also need:

  • Proven experience in a compliance or risk-related role within a regulatory body, financial institution, or similar entity
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulated industries and expertise in risk and compliance legislation relevant to these institutions
  • Extensive experience in assurance and related disciplines within a regulated industry
  • Strong ability to establish partnerships by collaborating and interacting professionally and effectively, influencing outcomes positively
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset, adept at simplifying complexity while maintaining standards and meeting business requirements
  • A current minimum P1 'C' class Queensland drivers' licence
  • A Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
