As a dedicated professional, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of exceptional patient care within our paediatric unit at Healthscope. Your leadership skills and clinical expertise will drive the efficient management of our team, ensuring that we provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Nurse Unit Manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations of our paediatric unit. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing operational direction to ensure effective and efficient management of the unit.
- Coordinating the delivery of evidence-based nursing care to our patients.
- Fostering a team-focused environment that prioritizes excellent patient and family-centered care.
- Guiding and supporting your team members to optimize their performance and well-being.
- Ensuring the effective management of human, financial, and material resources.
- Undertaking direct patient care when required.
- Maintaining compliance with national standards for quality and safety.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a paediatric setting.
- Demonstrated management experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
- A strong knowledge base in labour management and private health funding.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused care.
