About the Role

The Infrastructure and Operations Division is custodian of over $6B in infrastructure assets, requiring a large capital renewals program and ongoing growth of the city. As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for formulating plans of work, maintaining and condition of trucks and plant, and exercising responsibility for the safe operation of all plant and trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate plans of work as a part of the job analysis for individual projects and complete pre-start and pre-work checks to ensure the safe operation of all plant and trucks.
  • Exercise responsibility for the maintenance and condition of trucks and plant, including completing routine condition inspections, reporting of faults or breakdowns, secure storage, cleaning and minor maintenance and repairs as required.
About You

We are seeking an experienced Plant Operator with a current HC Drivers Licence and final trim experience, as well as Plant Operators' Certificates of Competency for the types and classes of plant utilised in this position. You will have experience in the operation of a range of plant, including road rollers, skid steers, backhoes, and mini excavators, and a Year 10 Certificate or proficient literacy and numeracy skills.
