Job Description:

Diagnostic and remedial engineers are sought after professionals in the field of engineering consulting. They play a crucial role in managing complex projects, overseeing field work, and ensuring that technical performance standards are maintained.

As a diagnostic and remedial engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating with clients to balance design or report requirements with budget and schedules established with them. You will also provide written proposals to clients that satisfy their needs, commission and document coordination sub-consultants, and undertake preliminary design and document discussions with clients and councils.

Additionally, you will monitor progress on projects, report to client and manager, document discussions with clients on progress, calling of tenders, negotiations, and then supervision of construction. You will maintain and promote professional service, organisational learning, continuous improvement, and professional development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in facades/remedial work, working at heights training, rope access qualifications
  • High level report writing and communication skills
  • Understanding of Standards and Legislation within the Building Sector (i.e. BCA)
  • Highly developed construction and assessment skills
  • Strong focus on time and budget deliverables
  • Ability to undertake problem solving to derive innovative solutions
