About the Role

National Network Plus is a leading not-for-profit staffing agency, dedicated to providing exceptional support services to individuals and communities. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Worker to join our team in the NSW Hunter Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and Maintain Relationships

Establish and maintain positive relationships with young individuals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to promote their personal and social development.

  • Program Development and Implementation

Develop and implement engaging programs and activities that promote skill-building, leadership, and personal growth, in collaboration with schools, community organizations, and stakeholders.

  • Advocacy and Support

Advocate for the rights and needs of young individuals within the community, providing educational resources and conducting training sessions on relevant topics.

  • Crisis Response and Support

Respond to crisis situations, offering immediate support and collaborating with appropriate authorities to ensure the well-being of young individuals.

  • Record Keeping and Collaboration
  • Work with a Multidisciplinary Team

Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a comprehensive approach to youth development, maintaining accurate records of interactions, assessments, and program outcomes.

Requirements
  • Certificate 4 or Higher

Certificate 4 or higher in Child/Youth and Family Intervention or related fields.

  • Previous Experience

Previous experience working with youth is preferred.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

  • Knowledge of Community Resources

Knowledge of community resources and social services.

  • Empathy and Patience

Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in promoting positive youth development.

  • Experience with People with Disabilities

Experience with working with people with disabilities.

  • Australian Driver's License

An Australian driver's license is required.
