About the Role

The IFYS Ltd Child Protection Residential Care Programs provide a safe, dependable, and nurturing living environment for children and young people in need. As a Residential Youth Worker, you will be responsible for delivering day-to-day care to young people in the Residential Care house, reporting to the Case Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support young people to manage challenging behaviors
  • Plan and attend activities to promote life-skills development
  • Follow daily routines to promote life-skills development
  • Complete case notes and admin tasks daily
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment

About You

We are looking for a flexible, adaptable, and open-to-learning individual who is comfortable working with young people displaying complex and challenging behaviors. You will need to build rapport quickly, remain non-judgmental, and have resilience and good professional boundaries. You will also need to be comfortable with computers and completing admin tasks.

Essential Requirements
  • A QLD Working With Children Blue Card or have applied for one
  • Current valid driver's license with no restrictions
  • Ability to provide two references from recent employers
  • Already hold or are enrolled in a Certificate IV or higher in a relevant field
  • Availability for a variety of different shifts over a fortnightly roster
