Mosman Council is seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Programs Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Youth Services team, you will play a vital role in empowering young people through innovative initiatives and programs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of young people, designing and implementing programs that promote personal growth, wellbeing, and skill development. You will work closely with our Team Leader Youth Services, another Youth Programs Officer, and a group of dedicated casual staff to deliver a wide range of programs and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement youth leadership, advocacy, and skill development initiatives
  • Develop and deliver wellbeing and recreation programs and events in collaboration with community stakeholders
  • Maintain operations and promotion of daily activities in a Drop In centre setting
  • Support sector projects and collaborative initiatives with the wider Lower North Shore Youth Interagency and partners
What We're Looking For

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in youth work, social sciences, or a related field. You will have high-level experience with programming for and supervision of young people, as well as demonstrated ability to build and sustain professional relationships with young people.

You will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. A valid First Aid Certificate and Working with Children Check are also essential.
