This is an exciting chance to lead a high-performing team, drive operational excellence, and shape the future of rail services. As a Manager Network Control, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and well-being across operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Champion a 'We Know Safe, We Choose Safe' safety culture, driving continuous improvement in safe working practices.
- Lead and coach a talented team to achieve business objectives and foster positive relationships with customers.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of train control strategies and change management initiatives, driving organisational growth.
- Effective labour resource management, including workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, leave management, and competency development aligned to the overall business goals and objectives.
- Manage and mitigate the impact of events through coordination of emergency response and recovery efforts.
- Analyse data, identify opportunities for improvement, and establish plans for continuous progress in safe working practices, business processes, and systems/technology.
Requirements:
- Proven line leadership experience in large-scale logistics or heavy industrial organisations.
- Safeworking Theory Qualification (highly regarded).
- A strong understanding of both above and below rail control, essential for success in this position.
- A minimum of Certificate IV/Diploma in Frontline Management or equivalent.
- Strong leadership skills, including team coaching, safety management, and change management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing abilities.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Experience in workforce development and succession planning.
- Knowledge of train control operations, planning, and safe working systems (or ability to learn).
