Position Overview

This role is responsible for shaping the long-term voice of Stonnington through strategic communication. As a forward-thinking communicator, you will lead the design and delivery of communications strategies that bring the city's vision to life.

The successful candidate will have experience in delivering high-impact campaigns and will be able to advise senior leaders on how messages are shaped, shared, and received across diverse audiences.

You will inspire and mentor a creative, multi-skilled communications team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous growth. The role also involves overseeing engaging campaigns and content that elevate the city's reputation and strengthen community connection.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary range of $128,308 – $142,841 + 12% super, plus the benefit of a monthly ADO.

Requirements
  • A proven strategic communicator with experience delivering high-impact campaigns.

  • Strong grasp of digital and social media trends.
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications or related field.
  • At least 7 years' experience in a senior strategic communications role.
