Senior Administrator, Research Operations

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting world-class research, overseeing post-award processes for research grants and ensuring researchers and the University meet obligations to external sponsors.
This key position involves managing contractual arrangements, compliance, reporting, and project closeout with a strong focus on Australian Research Council (ARC) funding. The senior member of a collaborative team will mentor and support junior staff, share expertise, and help shape best practice in research funding management.
Demonstrated experience in post-award research funding administration is required, including excellent knowledge of ARC and/or NHMRC grant guidelines, funding agreements, and post-award processes.
Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to build and maintain constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
A demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service within a complex, multi-tiered organisation is essential.
Experience in using research management systems and adopting new information technology tools to improve business processes and services is desirable.
Excellent organisational skills, including the proven ability to maintain accuracy and meet deadlines with minimal supervision, are required.
An understanding of research finance/accounting would be highly regarded.
