Graduate Tax Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Graduate Tax Consultant to join our team of tax professionals.

  • This is an exceptional opportunity for recent or soon-to-be graduates in Law and/or Commerce/Business/Economics, with a passion for tax law and its application.
About the Role

The successful candidate will play a critical role in helping clients navigate Australia's complex tax landscape, providing tailored solutions to minimise risk, maximise opportunities, and ensure compliance.

  • You'll interpret legislation, cases, and ATO rulings to provide expert advice to clients.
  • Build outcome comparisons and present recommendations to clients.
  • Prepare ruling requests, objections, and meeting packs to shape strategy and correspondence for reviews/audits.
  • Assemble evidence, draft submissions/briefs, and support cases in the ART or court.
  • Design step plans for restructures, succession, and funding.
Your Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpretation and analysis of tax legislation, cases, and ATO rulings.
  • Development and presentation of tailored tax solutions.
  • Preparation of legal documents and correspondence.
  • Support for cases in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (ART) or court.
  • Design and implementation of tax planning strategies.
