The Role

As a mental health support worker, you will work closely with participants who require assistance with alcohol and other drug abuse. Your role will involve providing quality services, promoting opportunities for meaningful participation, and supporting individuals in achieving their life goals.

Responsibilities

  • Personal care and daily living assistance
  • Transportation and accompaniment
  • Academic and personal skill development
  • Building individual strengths and enabling participants to reach their goals
  • Community engagement and social participation
  • Skill building and education

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A current police check or NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Current first aid and CPR training
  • NDIS Orientation Module completion
  • NDIS Infection Control Module completion
  • Certificate IV in Disability or Certificate IV in Mental Health

Additional Requirements

Must be fully vaccinated and willing to travel frequently.
