Latrobe Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join their team on a full-time, ongoing basis.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker to work in our dynamic social work department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support, working closely with other healthcare professionals to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • To provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families, addressing issues related to grief, loss, trauma, and adjustment to illness or disability.
  • To stay up-to-date with best practice guidelines and evidence-based interventions, ensuring that patient care is always informed by the latest research and clinical expertise.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking an exceptional Social Worker who possesses a strong background in mental health, with experience working with diverse populations and complex presentations. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and their families. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a commitment to lifelong learning, are essential for this role.
