**Job Opportunity:**

Community Development Specialist

The Salvation Army is seeking a skilled Community Development Specialist to lead community development programs and promote community engagement in the Bathurst area.

This role involves planning and implementing activities that address identified community needs, sourcing funding opportunities, and managing partnerships to ensure program viability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and contributing to programs that meet local community desires, while building a culture based on empowerment and person-centered approaches.

Requirements:

  • Experience in facilitating community-based activities and managing volunteers or employees
  • Well-developed communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
