We are seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Coordinator to join our educational team at a local school.

As an Assistant Coordinator, you will play a vital role in caring for primary school-aged children within a dedicated space. Our centre strives to provide a holistic program that fosters children's growth and development in a nurturing, natural environment.

The Role

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the responsible person for the service, ensuring all operations run smoothly.
  • Providing a safe and supportive Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) environment for children and staff.
  • Managing attendance records and casual booking schedules to ensure child safety and proper supervision.
  • Overseeing and supporting other educators to ensure they understand and fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of creative, educational programs, along with maintaining observations and reflection journals.
  • Creating opportunities to share children's experiences with families and celebrate their engagement in programs.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with families and the wider community.

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A qualification in Child Education and Care (or be working towards one).
  • Previous experience in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC).
  • A certificate in Child Protection training.
  • Current First Aid certification.
  • A valid Working with Children Check, or the willingness to obtain one.

This role is part of a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing education and care for children and families from Catholic schools and parishes.
