Service Leader Job Description

The Service Leader is responsible for leading a team to develop and maintain a fun, safe, and compliant program. This involves creating daily plans, supervising and supporting primary-aged children, preparing and serving healthy food options, and building meaningful relationships with families and the school community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team to deliver high-quality before and after-school care services.
  • Creating daily plans that meet the needs of children and promote their growth and development.
  • Supervising and supporting primary-aged children in a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Preparing and serving healthy food options that cater to different dietary needs.
  • Building meaningful relationships with families and the school community through effective communication and customer service skills.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have an enthusiastic and engaging approach to childcare, with the ability to form positive relationships. You must hold a valid Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates, and a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
