
Compassionate Family Law Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate solicitor to join our team in providing legal services to individuals affected by domestic violence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation in family law, AVOs, victims' support, and related areas. They will work closely with clients to address their trauma and intersectional needs, ensuring a culturally safe and client-centred approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing high-quality legal advice and representation in court and at mediations.
- Assisting clients through outreach trips to rural and remote communities.
- Collaborating with caseworkers and external agencies to provide holistic support.
- Contributing to systemic advocacy through law reform and policy submissions.
- Developing and delivering community legal education sessions to build awareness and resilience.
- Maintaining accurate and timely casework records.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and eligibility for a NSW practising certificate.
- Strong commitment to social justice, particularly for women, First Nations communities, and people experiencing disadvantage.
- Knowledge and experience in family law, domestic violence, and related legal areas.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use digital tools and software.
