Family Support Worker Opportunity

About the Role

This casual opportunity will be based in Bourke, where you'll work closely with our casework team to support families at risk of having their children removed into care.

Our goal is to provide a range of supports that promote parenting skills, family functioning, and child development. We also offer trauma-informed services to help children and young people heal from past experiences.

As a Family Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the casework team with case management tasks to support families in need
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and community members
  • Providing education and guidance on parenting skills, family functioning, and child development
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting families

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Flexibility to work across 7 days and after hours
