This is a crucial role in the Internal Audit team. As a Safety Auditor, you will provide independent and objective assurance to improve operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver an annual audit plan for individual sites and safety systems
  • Support management in delivering Internal Audit objectives and providing advisory services
  • Evaluate and test internal controls, risk management, and governance processes
  • Lead assurance engagements and provide coaching to team members

The primary objective of this role is to support the leadership team in developing and managing the Safety, Health & Wellbeing Assurance Program.

Main Accountabilities
  • Support business maintain Safety, Health and Wellbeing Self Insurance Licence through completion of operational and National Audit Tool system audits
  • Develop and maintain national safety audit assurance program across retail stores and hotels
  • Lead execution of high-risk store/hotel safety audits and system management audits
  • Present audit findings to various levels of management
Essential Qualifications
  • Certificate IV (as a minimum) in Safety, Health and Wellbeing
  • Experience as Senior Safety Adviser/Auditor or with equivalent position
  • Proficient in Australian Standards for Professional Practice of Internal Auditing
