Job Overview

This key position plays a pivotal role in driving BAI's supply chain management processes and procurement strategy. It offers the opportunity to delve into analysis of procurement data across multiple categories and sources for strategic planning, cost savings, and market updates.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the RF(x) process, evaluation, and appointment primarily across BAI's network reinvestment program.
  • Contribute analytical insight to support the overall procurement strategy and individual category plans.
  • Support best practice procurement by regularly reviewing and updating policies, processes, and procedures to enhance business performance.
  • Aid in identifying a suitable supplier base.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining a supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance.
  • Ensure suppliers are onboarded appropriately and records maintained as per the procurement policy.
  • Support cross-functional teams to anticipate supply needs.
  • Perform regular performance reviews of suppliers under management in conjunction with the business.
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review their impact on procurement activities.
About You
  • You will be well-versed in the end-to-end tender process.
  • Hold solid working knowledge across financial acumen and procure to pay principles (P2P).
  • Indirect category management expertise across travel, fleet, IT, and telecommunications.
  • Procurement category planning within direct procurement - contractors and civil construction.
  • Excellent relationship management with commercial contract interpretation & understanding.
  • Strong analytical skills with confidence in report presentation and insights.
  • Supplier performance management and negotiation.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a procurement specialist or category management role – preferably within the services sector including telecommunications, IT, or broadcasting or organisations with proven growth records.
  • CIPS accreditation (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
