About the Role

We're seeking an accomplished Design Research Lead to spearhead a team of researchers within our Product Growth organisation. Research projects directly tied to our company-wide objectives necessitate an in-depth understanding of our international user base.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Prioritising research initiatives across the Supergroup, identifying knowledge gaps proactively.
  • Developing a comprehensive research programme to gather insights about our diverse user base, including collaborating with external vendors.
  • Ensuring high-quality research is conducted throughout the Supergroup, elevating findings into impactful design and business insights.
  • Influencing product and business decisions at a senior leadership level, sharing research insights and opportunities as the voice of the customer.

Key Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for:

  • Bolstering a high-performing team of 3+ researchers through coaching, shaping research plans, providing feedback, setting career goals, and conducting formal reviews.
  • Designing research roadmaps aligned with product and business objectives, adapting these when priorities shift.
  • Defining the Product Growth strategy and roadmap, working closely with product and engineering teams to deliver user-centric solutions.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Extensive experience leading research teams, ideally in a similar industry.
  • Outstanding leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop team members.
  • A deep understanding of research methods, including qualitative and quantitative techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at a senior leadership level.
