Program Development Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our team in delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, leading consulting assignments, and contributing to business development and practice development.
This senior role involves driving the growth and success of our business by leveraging their expertise in portfolio, program, and project management. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping our team's culture and capability, and will be responsible for leading exciting and challenging commissions that improve an organisation's capital strategy and set up its major programs and projects for success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading high-profile commissions that drive business growth and deliver exceptional outcomes for clients.
- Directing and coaching consulting staff, providing hands-on help to clients, and deploying consulting techniques to improve performance across the capital and project lifecycle.
- Making a significant contribution to business development and practice development, creating a collaborative and supportive team environment.
To succeed in this role, you will need significant experience in providing value-adding advice and hands-on help to clients in the infrastructure sector or natural resources sectors. Excellent people management skills, including team creation and management, work planning and delegation, performance assessment, and coaching, are essential.
You will also require excellent client engagement and senior stakeholder management skills, a thorough understanding of business improvement approaches and frameworks, and 6-8 years' experience in a similar consulting role or 7-9 years' experience in a relevant role in the infrastructure, natural resources, or construction sectors.
A Bachelor degree or other recognised professional qualification in one of the following fields: management consulting, business management, engineering, construction, procurement, contract management, project management, project controls, or information technology is necessary. Experience in one or more of the following sectors: rail, aviation, power & utilities, renewables, or defence, is also required.
