
Disaster Response Coordinator

Your role in the Disaster Resilience Program supports the department respond to disaster events, ultimately making a positive impact every day.
Main Responsibilities- Manage operational and administrative tasks to ensure maximum efficiency in delivering the program, including assessment of grants stages and progression of applications.
- Provide quality service to customers via phone calls regarding the program, with a focus on resolving customer problems efficiently.
- Liaise with stakeholders, assess grant applications, and escalate concerns to supervisor/manager as needed.
- Set, monitor, and review performance KPIs with staff, addressing issues timely.
- Maintain high standards of grant management practice through identification of issues, risks, and exceptions.
- Prepare accurate and timely data and reporting to support Ministerial requests.
- Consult with supervisors and staff on customer service, policy, procedures, and standards.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to foster productive relationships.
- Monitor finance and invoicing activities.
- Support a workplace safety culture by applying relevant policies and practices.
- Contribute to maintaining an effective records management system.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, working collaboratively with others.
- Capacity to drive continuous improvement by identifying and sharing innovative ideas.
- Able to approach challenges energetically, set priorities, and organise yourself to meet deadlines.
- Ability to mentor, coach, and implement development opportunities.
- Uses judgement in decision making and researches information relevant to tasks.
- Experience with SmartyGrants platform is desirable.
