Financial Planning Assistant Role Overview

This role involves working with experienced professionals in the financial services industry.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare preapproval documentation prior to report writing and ensure recommendations are researched and signed off by relevant teams where necessary.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and compliant suitability reports.
  • Utilise technology to produce accurate solutions for clients.
  • Carry out relevant financial calculations on behalf of advisers.
  • Proactive self-development and understanding industry changes.
  • Ensure all advice documentation is compliant according to regulatory guidelines.
  • Effectively communicate at all times both internally and externally.
  • Work with advisers to gather sufficient client information.
Requirements:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisation skills.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn new systems and processes.
  • Good working knowledge/experience of the financial services industry and suitability reports.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of financial products and services.
  • Ability to write bespoke pieces of advice for complex cases.
  • Confident undertaking research required to assess advice.
  • Experience working within defined service standards and procedures, with a working knowledge of regulatory requirements.
