Senior Ecommerce Strategist

Drive sales growth and profitability by leading the development and execution of comprehensive ecommerce strategies across various categories. This role plays a critical part in enhancing the online customer experience and aligning digital operations with broader commercial objectives.

About the Role:

• Develop and manage ecommerce strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance the online shopping experience.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence, effective communication, and seamless execution.
• Manage large-scale projects aimed at improving the ecommerce offering, such as implementing new functionalities, optimizing website performance, and enhancing user experience.
• Ensure financial targets are met and exceeded by analyzing market trends, customer behavior, and financial data.
• Provide insights into customer behavior and market trends to inform strategic decisions and drive business growth.
• Effectively manage local and offshore teams to ensure seamless operations and achievement of outcomes.
• Drive category-specific sales and gross profit dollar strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
• Operations Specific:
• Implement process and governance improvements across ecommerce end-to-end to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Assist in ideation and implementation of operational initiatives with the ability to make decisions and provide expertise.
• Lead the development and implementation of new ecommerce functionalities to enhance the online shopping experience.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project impact and identify improvements.

About You:

• Prior experience in ecommerce or merchandise roles essential, preferably within the retail sector.
• Sound business acumen with strong analytical and planning capabilities.
• Prior experience in managing direct reports and driving a culture of high performance.
• A natural collaborator with the ability to influence stakeholders to drive category growth.
• Uses retail management expertise to operate and organize the website to deliver wonderful customer experiences.
• Strong experience with website analytics, ideally Google Analytics.
• Previous experience in commerce platforms, PIMs, or search and merchandising tools including experience in platform utilization.
• Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite - particularly Microsoft Excel.
