About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker at Annecto, you will play a vital role in delivering quality care services to individuals with disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to support clients in living their lives to the fullest, helping them engage in activities that are important to them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to clients, promoting their independence and autonomy.
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as personal care and hygiene.
  • Support clients in engaging in recreational activities and community outings.
  • Lead and facilitate activities for small groups of clients, promoting socialization and skill-building.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to Annecto's Child Safe Policy and Code of Conduct.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities and experience supporting clients with complex needs.
  • A strong desire to provide quality client service and promote client independence.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Highly professional and compassionate demeanor, with excellent communication skills.
  • Current police check, NDIS Workers Screening Check Clearance, and First Aid/CPR qualifications.
  • Must have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in line with Victorian Government Public Health directions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Disability Care.
  • Completed the online NDIS Worker Orientation Module - Quality Safety & You.
  • Fluency in a second language.
